We Decide What to Recommend
Our editorial choices are made independently. Manufacturers and retailers have no input on which products we cover, what we say about them, or how we rank them, and they do not see articles before publication.
Inclusion Cannot Be Bought
We do not accept payment for placements and we do not publish sponsored rankings. Brands cannot pay to appear in a guide, to be ranked higher, or to influence wording.
Every Claim Needs a Source
Official documentation is our first stop: spec sheets, manuals, driver notes and compatibility lists. Independent sources, such as audio measurement databases, hardware review sites and creator-focused publications, come next for performance data. Owner reports help us understand reliability and day-to-day quirks.
We never publish a figure without a source. When measurements conflict, for example two different noise floor readings for the same microphone, we show the range, mention known differences in method, and do not cherry-pick the best number.
AI Assists, People Verify
We use AI to help with research, outlines and early drafts. Human editors revise the text and check each fact before it is published. AI is never permitted to invent specs, latency numbers, audio measurements or results.
Conflicts Are Disclosed
We currently do not accept review units or free gear in exchange for coverage. If we ever receive a sample or have a brand relationship that touches an article, that article will disclose it. Our affiliate commissions are disclosed on our affiliate disclosure page and do not affect rankings.
Articles Are Kept Current
Key buying guides are reviewed on a regular cycle and whenever new hardware, firmware changes or price shifts affect a recommendation. Revision dates are shown on each article.
